2025 — building the foundation properly

2025 — Building the Foundation Properly

2025 was a year of building — not just products, but systems, clarity, and discipline.

What moved forward • We designed and built Cityboy V3 from scratch — from BIW design to prototype, on-road testing, and performance validation. The vehicle was developed based on direct feedback from ridesharing drivers, focusing on higher speed (90km/h+), improved braking, safety, and overall drivability.

• We sourced close to 80% OEM components, significantly strengthening our technical depth and supplier ecosystem.

• We successfully closed our pre-seed round and were honored with the Zayed Sustainability Prize, reinforcing long-term confidence in our mission.

• We established a structured company operating system: handbooks, SOPs, KPIs, and regular operating rhythms. The organization is now increasingly process-driven and team-led.

• We strengthened our core team and aligned roles, ownership, and accountability in preparation for the next phase of growth.

• We evaluated multiple manufacturing-scale pathways — from handcrafted processes to micro-factory automation — and identified scalable, capital-efficient approaches.

• We implemented ERP across accounting, inventory, purchasing, and expense management, preparing the foundation for manufacturing-grade operations.

• We achieved clarity on unit economics, including a precise BOM, pricing logic, and cost controls.

• We reduced financial liabilities and improved balance-sheet health.

• We upgraded our R&D capability, sourcing all key OEM components required for in-house battery and system testing.

• We addressed long-standing technical and operational debt, reducing single points of failure across design, finance, and operations.

• We made meaningful progress toward regulatory approvals.

What we adjusted • Our production targets for Cityboy V3 were ambitious, and while we did not meet monthly delivery goals, the process surfaced critical learnings that have strengthened our manufacturing readiness.

Key lessons • Scalability must be built deliberately. Investing early in preparation, systems, and discipline significantly reduces downstream risk.

• Focus matters. Consolidating product efforts improved execution quality and organizational clarity.

Looking ahead to 2026 • Our priority is to operate a stable, execution-focused business with predictable revenue and a well-trained team.

• We will continue strengthening systems, sharing responsibility across the organization, and scaling with intention.

2025 gave us clarity. 2026 is about execution.
