From 300 Square Feet to 10,000 Square Feet: The Journey of Palki Motors
With the Accelerating Asia Ventures Virtual Demo Day now officially behind us, I’m reflecting on this incredible journey.
What started with just $4,000 in a 300-square-foot garage has now grown into a company that has closed 94% of our $450k pre-seed round and operates from a 10,000-square-foot factory.
Between those humble beginnings and where we stand today, we’ve built:
- 3 versions of commercial passenger cars
- 2 versions of pickups
This wouldn’t have been possible without the trust and support of our angel customers, early investors, and grants.
Today, we have:
- A product with early product-market fit
- A defined manufacturing process
- A clear growth path
Joining Accelerating Asia was a pivotal decision. It allowed me to connect with like-minded, ambitious individuals and gain the firepower needed for explosive growth.
Alhamdulilah, after the demo day, we’ve raised 94% of our round. I am incredibly thankful to:
- Alex Miller who kept me motivated throughout the journey
- Craig Bristol Dixon and Amra Naidoo for believing in me
- Osman Ahmed for his guidance every step of the way
- and finally all the cohort members, especially Kazi Ashikur Rasul, PMP for his helping throughout the journey. Thanking him is not enough.
Now, the road ahead is clear but ambitious:
- Scale production capacity to 100 units per month (1,200 units/year)
- Secure 1,200 pre-orders
- Achieve $14.6M annualized revenue by September 2025, up from $1.2M
My commitments remain simple but bold:
- Help our customers earn 3X more while working less
- Deliver 10X returns for our investors by next year
- Pay my team salaries that make their friends jealous
- Help reduce 12,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually
