My eldest brother, Mostafa Al Mahmud has been elected as the President of BSREA (Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association). He was the founding Secretary General of this association. Congratulations to him on this incredible achievement!
Recently, BSREA has launched a new Electric Mobility subcommittee, which I am honored to lead.
What does this mean for electric mobility in Bangladesh?
It means a lot. Before BSREA, I approached 23 electric mobility-related companies to another proposed association, but it failed to support startups and innovative companies like us—companies that are actively shaping Bangladesh’s EV ecosystem.
Now, my role is clear:
I will advocate for the government’s automobile development plan, ensuring that electric car manufacturers, two- and three-wheeler companies, battery swapping providers, vehicle subscription platforms, fleet management solutions, spare parts producers, charging station developers, battery pack manufacturers, EV logistics providers, and autonomous vehicle companies receive equal and effective national policy support.
I will fight to eliminate the hurdles I faced as a startup founder in this industry. My goal is to ensure that no other company has to go through the same struggles due to a lack of support or clear policies.
What drives me?
It’s simple: the stronger the ecosystem, the more opportunities it creates for all. A thriving EV ecosystem uplifts everyone—from businesses to customers. By creating opportunities for others, we create an environment where innovation flourishes, and the economy grows.
My Vision:
I aim to bring together all stakeholders involved in electric mobility—investors, employees, financial institutions, customers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs—to strengthen the industry. Collaboration will be at the heart of this platform, ensuring that BSREA becomes a thriving, impactful association.
My Superpower:
My superpower lies in my network. I will bring new energy to this association, leveraging my connections with international experts and Bangladeshi professionals working across different sectors in electric mobility. Together, we will work toward achieving the national goal of converting 30% of all vehicles in Bangladesh to electric by 2030.
This is our moment to shape the future of sustainable transportation in Bangladesh, and I am committed to making it happen.
