Why I really started Palki

The beginning of Palki Motors was driven by many reasons, but one of the most significant was the desire to work with smart and talented people. After coming to Bangladesh, I was almost friendless.

When I was doing my undergraduate studies in America, I used to hang out with some of the best minds. Some had completed their PhDs, some were pursuing them, and others were doing their master’s. There was even a 17-year-old who was my senior in undergrad! Among my circle, some had discovered gravitational wells in the universe, some were working at Microsoft, Intel, and NASA, and many had become university professors.

There were countless nights when, on a 15-minute plan, we would drive 3,000–4,000 kilometers—getting lost in the desert, hiking in the mountains, or skiing...

My capstone design partner was one of the most brilliant minds I had ever met—a student who consistently scored straight A’s. And for those who are familiar with the North American education system, you know how tough it is to get an A. You pass with a score of 70, but need 96 for an A!

At Palki Motors, I select my team the same way—I recruit people whose talent amazes me.

In our company, no one’s contributions go unnoticed. Everyone receives the recognition they deserve for their work.

Here, empty talk, flattery, or just being vocal holds no value. Instead, those who don’t ask for credit often receive the most.

Such talented individuals are gradually joining our company. We are currently at the seed level, and at this stage, the team matters the most.

And if you have a team where, no matter who the CEO is, they can still learn from their teammates and enjoy working together—then nothing can be better than that!

I truly enjoy working with my team. Seeing their talent and dedication inspires me. When I speak about their qualities in front of others, I feel proud to praise them.

And yes, we absolutely dislike office politics. We have zero tolerance for it. Any kind of toxic workplace politics is completely banned at Palki.

I only hire those who are better than me—people who, if given the right environment, can outperform me.

When they do well, our customers earn more, carbon emissions from the environment decrease, and the cost of our vehicles goes down.

No matter which department someone works in at Palki Motors, they will always be a part of history—the history of Bangladesh’s first automobile design and manufacturing company!

Faith, sacrifice, and success—this is our core philosophy!
